After yesterday’s moment of mild horror from M. Louboutin, I’m pleased to see The Master return to form with these amazing crisscross platform sandals, which represent everything that is wonderful, from the red heel, to the crossover straps and, well, just everything really.
All is forgiven. Mr L. And mine is a size 37, just in case you’re wondering..
Why am I showing you such a boring pair of shoes, you might be asking right now? After all, they’re just black peep toes, and God knows, it’s not like black peep toes are hard to find, right?
Well, I’m showing you them because I love them, and I always have. This is one of my very favourite Louboutin styles, and one of the first pairs I’d buy if I suddenly found myself rich. I just love the way the red of the sole carries through to the platform on the peep toe: such a small detail, but it makes such a difference. These are classic Louboutin, and are £494 at Louisa Via Roma: click here to buy them.
For this week’s Friday Fix, I’ve gone for the most unusual shoes on the Louboutin site, as opposed to the most beautiful ones. These are called Veneneuse, and they take the basic Pigalle shape, and add on… well, what looks a lot like some strange kind of fungi to me. And now that I’ve thought that, I just can’t un-see it. Sorry, Loubie.
What do you think? Too much, or just enough? They’re $1,195: click here to buy them.
These shoes spell out “sex”. No, I mean literally:
And, you know, I’m not too sure about them. I mean, I LOVE the shape. I LOVE the colour. I even love the idea of the writing on the toes: Louboutin did this a few seasons ago with his “Love” pumps, and I, well, loved them.
The problem with these, though – and I know this will make me sound prudish, which I’m really not – is that it’s just a tiny bit vulgar, no? I get that the shoes are sexy, but would you want to go around with “SEX” written on your feet? If you would, you’ll need $1,395, and to click here to buy them. What do you think, though?
Every Friday for the past two years, I’ve brought you a “Friday Fix” featuring a pair of shoes from my very favourite designer, the master shoemaker himself, Christian Louboutin. (I’d call him “Shoeperman”, but my husband has already claimed that title…)
This Friday, I’m going to be off wrapping gifts and preparing for Christmas (and probably doing some last-minute shopping, knowing me: my shoeper-powers don’t extend to being organised for Christmas!), but I didn’t want to leave you without your fix, so today I bring you an entire year’s worth of Louboutins. Here are all (or most) of the Friday Fixes I’ve featured this year: you can consider it my Christmas gift to you, and trust me when I tell you that if I could give you the ACTUAL shoes themselves, I would. That’s how much I love my shoeper readers.
For now, sit back, enjoy the shoes, and feel free to tell me if you can pick out a favourite! Here are the best of Christian Louboutin shoes from the past 12 months!
(P.S. I should probably stress here that not all of these shoes are from the 2011 collection – that’s just when I featured them!)
You REALLY wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of these, would you? And you probably wouldn’t want to try to board an aircraft in them, either: it’s bad enough when they confiscate your tweezers, or some other small item you’ve forgotten to remove from your makeup bag – just imagine how you’d feel when airport security took away your $1595 Louboutins!
These are called ‘Asteroid’, and while the reaction among my readers generally isn’t very positive towards shoes with such extreme spikes, I had to show you them anyway, because they’re just so fabulous. In a possibly-painful kind of way, of course.
What do you think? I reckon I’m much too clumsy to be able to wear these without causing serious damage to someone/thing, but if you think you can limit the damage to your credit card, you can click here to buy a pair.
