ShoeperStar: Rachel McAdams in Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle’

Rachel McAdams in Christian Louboutin 'Pigalle'

You all know by now how much I love Christian Louboutin’s ‘Pigalle’ pumps, don’t you? Seriously, I LOVE those shoes, and if I was rich, I’d buy them in every single variation M. Louboutin sees fit to release them in.

Even if I WAS rich, though, I’m pretty sure I’d rather buy my own shoes – and make sure they actually fit me properly – than borrow a pair of designer shoes that were much too big, like Rachel McAdams, seen here at the L.A. premiere of The Vow this week. I love Rachel McAdams, and I really love this outfit: the mint Vivienne Westwood dress is to die for, as are the shoes – I even like her new bangs. Every time I look at these photos, though, my eyes just keep going back to the ill-fitting shoes, which seem to be the norm for celebrities these days, and always make the woman wearing them look like they’re playing dress-up with their mother’s clothes, I think.

What do you think? Would you wear borrowed Louboutins, even if they were a size too big?

  • I always wonder how they’re able to walk in them: I’d probably already have lost them while getting out of the car… No, I’d definitely buy my own shoes.

    • It fascinates me. I could walk in too small shoes, alebit not for very long, but in ones as oversized as these, or all the others I see on celebrities, I’d be shuffling along and falling over my feet every few steps – and I say that as a dedicated heels-wearer! Maybe there’s some trick to it that these women all know and I’m just not aware of!

  • I dont understand how she walk in that,i cant made two steps if my shoes are to big,I suppose with her money buying cl shoes is like for normal people new look, primark and co.

  • Love your comment – always make the woman wearing them look like they’re playing dress-up with their mother’s clothes, I think. It made me laugh because usually they would have played with their mother’s clothes when they were little girls NOT now they are grown women.

  • She looks gorgeous, but do these celebs think we won’t realise their shoes are too big? Totally ruins the look. Mind you, I think slightly too big shoes are easier to manage than too small shoes.
