Meet Shoeperwoman, the shoe superhero.
Her shoeperpowers?
- Saving Shoes from a fate worse than death
- Ability to walk in very high heels
- Never knowingly underdressed
By day, Shoeperwoman is Amber McNaught, a UK-based journalist-turned-blogger with a serious shoe addiction. Amber lives in Scotland, and runs the Hot Igloo network of fashion and lifestyle blogs (Titles include award-winning TheFashionPolice.net, Hey, Dollface! and Forever Amber), but that’s just her day job: at the first sign of a shoe-emergency, Amber becomes Shoeperwoman, the shoe superhero!
Shoeperwoman’s main aim is to save the beautiful shoes of the world from a lifetime left on the shelf, gathering dust. Shoes are “saved” simply by wearing them, and allowing them to fulfil their destiny, and, in addition to her shoe-saving, Shoperwoman also helps her readers identify which shoes are worth saving, by showing them a new selection of shoes every day.
Shoeperwoman’s shoe blog showcases footwear from around the world, with an emphasis on high heels: Shoeperwoman’s own preferred style. The site is updated every weekday, and if you would like to contact Shoeperwoman, you can click here to find out how to do it.
The Shoeper Shoe Challenge
Now it’s second year, the Shoeper Shoe Challenge sees Shoeperwoman attempt to “save” every pair of shoes in her collection by wearing them, and documenting the process here on her shoe blog. For the second year of the Challenge, Shoeperwoman invited her readers to join her: the Challenge now has almost 100 participants, and a weekly roundup of saved shoes appears on the site every Friday.
