For this week’s Friday Fix, I’ve gone for the most unusual shoes on the Louboutin site, as opposed to the most beautiful ones. These are called Veneneuse, and they take the basic Pigalle shape, and add on… well, what looks a lot like some strange kind of fungi to me. And now that I’ve thought that, I just can’t un-see it. Sorry, Loubie.
What do you think? Too much, or just enough? They’re $1,195: click here to buy them.
What’s with all the variations on the normal Pigalle? They usually don’t look any better. In fact, I think the simple, understated elegance of the Pigalle is its most valued feature, so why ruin that is so perfect to begin with?
“Vénéneuse” means “poisonous” as in poisonous mushroom. Fungi, indeed 🙂
The frill at the back is Too Much. The front is great.
Why do these obviously fungi-like shoes still appeal to me…
