I know it’s only been a couple of weeks since I last showed you a pair of nude shoes as our Friday Fix, but on that occasion I was pleased to see we all seem to be in general agreement about how indispensable the good ol’ nude can be, so I make no apologies for showing you another one: especially when the shoe in question is this pretty!

Of course, the problem with nudes is that it can be hard to find the right shade. These particular shoes won’t be flesh-toned on everyone (in fact, they probably won’t be flesh-toned on MOST people…), but when it comes to this kind of look, I’ve found that an EXACT match for the skin isn’t really essential, so if you’re wondering if a particular shade will work for you, it can be worth trying a few on, even if you don’t think it’ll work for you – you could be pleasantly surprised.

Aside from the colour, however, the main feature of this shoe is the little bow on the heel. Louboutin might not have quite the knack with a bow that Valentino does, say, but he still does a pretty good job, and these shoes will look just as good walking away as they’ll look walking towards someone. Possibly even better.

The detachable ankle strap will either give you added security, or cut your leg in half, depending on how you feel about such things. I generally find ankle straps to be a bit of a nuisance, so while I don’t HATE them, exactly, I’m always pleased when I find that they’re removable, if need be. In the case of these shoes, the fact that the bow obscures the top of the heel means that you’d be able to remove the strap and not have the  little tab sticking up at the back: just make sure the shoe isn’t going to fall off without it, before you purchase them with that intention, though!

Have a great weekend, everyone, whatever you’re wearing on your feet! (On that subject: what ARE you planning to wear on your feet this weekend?)
