It’s been 52 weeks, 365 days, and whole lot of shoes, but now it’s time to celebrate, because the Shoeper Shoe Challenge is officially OVER!
(Well, almost over, anyway: you technically have until midnight tonight to save your last pairs of shoes, so feel free to come back to this post later in the week to add your photos if you don’t have them ready now!)
If you’ve made it this far, then huge congratulations: whether you managed to “save” all of your shoes or not, it’s still a big commitment, and I can’t tell you all how much I’ve enjoyed having you all along for the ride – or how impressed I am that so many of you stuck it out to the bitter end!
I’ll be officially “saving” my last pair of shoes tonight, when I wear them out for a Valentine’s dinner with Shoeperman, so I’ll post my own final Shoe Save tomorrow, and have a wrap-up post planned for later in the week, too. This post, however, is all about my ShoeperStars, so feel free to upload any last images, or just drop me a comment to let me know how you got on with the challenge. Above all, though, CONGRATULATIONS! You just completed one full year of saving shoes: you’re true Shoeperheroes, and I’ll be sure to raise a toast to all of you tonight!
It’s February, Shoe Challengettes! And you know what that means: you have just under TWO WEEKS to save your remaining shoes, before they have to go to either the great shoe shelves in the sky, or to your choice of charity!
Next week will be week 52 (I can’t quite believe I’m typing that – it’s come round so quickly!), but as the 14th falls on a Tuesday, we’ll have one more roundup after that, for any last-minute shoes you manage to save before the end, so if ever there was a time to get shoe-saving, this is it: time’s a-wastin’!
How did everyone get on this week? Let’s see the shoes that made the cut! Do you think you’re going to make it to the end with your shoe collections intact?
Wow. Can you believe we’re to Week 50? Because I can’t. It honestly feels like just a few weeks since I started this challenge, and now it’s almost over!
So, who’s still playing along at home, I wonder? And which shoes made the cut this week? Remember, you have just two more weeks to wear your shoes before the challenge ends, so if you have any left to save, now’s the time to do it!
As always, post your shoe save images in the comments below, and let’s see which shoes are safe!
It’s week 49, everyone: just three weeks to go after this, and then it’s all over – gulp!
How’s everyone getting on with their challenges? As I mentioned earlier this week, I have just four pairs left to save now, so I’m feeling much more relaxed about it now: I must admit, I’m looking forward to the end, though!
What about you? Which shoes were saved this week? Let’s see ‘em!
(P.S. If you have a spare couple of seconds, your vote for me in the River Island Style Competition would be much appreciated – all you have to do is “like” the photo, no registration required!)
As I’ve mentioned a couple of times now, Shoeperman and I are currently working on some changes to the site which we’re hoping to launch soon, so as the open post style roundups seem to have been working quite well, and to give us more time to focus on that, I’m going to continue with this style of roundup for the time being.
We’re now up to Week 47 of the Challenge, and the start of the New Year has definitely brought a new sense of urgency to my own shoe-saving: of course, it doesn’t help that my shoe collection seems to be growing faster than my “saves” are, at the moment, and not all of my new additions are particularly winter appropriate!
How’s everyone else getting on with the Challenge? Have you bought any new pairs recently? And, more importantly, let’s see the shoes you’ve saved this week: just upload your image in the comments and feel free to tell us a bit more about the shoes!
(P.S. If you’re having difficulty uploading your images due to the file size, I highly recommend Piknik, which is a free image editing programme which will allow you to change the size of your images and add all kinds of fancy effects, into the bargain! It’s really easy to use, and will allow you to save your image in a size that’s suitable for web use.)
I hope you’ve all been having a good week, and finding plenty of new opportunities to get some more shoe saves in before the end of the year! If so, this is your chance to “officially” record them: just add your photo to the comments section using the image uploader you’ll find directly under the comments box: I can’t wait to see them!
This is the first of the open posts I’ll be putting up instead of our usual Weekly Roundups, and as I mentioned last week, I’ve added an image uploader to the comments section, so all you have to do is type your comment as usual, then click the “choose file” link under the comments box to upload your image, which will then appear in your comment. Or at least, it should: it’s worked every time I’ve tested it, so fingers crossed it won’t let me down now!
I know most of you will be too busy preparing for the holiday to be thinking about the Shoe Challenge right now, so I’m not anticipating a huge amount of images for this one, but if you do have some saves to record, feel free to post them below!
