Folks, WE DID IT!
It’s been 52 weeks, 365 days, and whole lot of shoes, but now it’s time to celebrate, because the Shoeper Shoe Challenge is officially OVER!
(Well, almost over, anyway: you technically have until midnight tonight to save your last pairs of shoes, so feel free to come back to this post later in the week to add your photos if you don’t have them ready now!)
If you’ve made it this far, then huge congratulations: whether you managed to “save” all of your shoes or not, it’s still a big commitment, and I can’t tell you all how much I’ve enjoyed having you all along for the ride – or how impressed I am that so many of you stuck it out to the bitter end!
I’ll be officially “saving” my last pair of shoes tonight, when I wear them out for a Valentine’s dinner with Shoeperman, so I’ll post my own final Shoe Save tomorrow, and have a wrap-up post planned for later in the week, too. This post, however, is all about my ShoeperStars, so feel free to upload any last images, or just drop me a comment to let me know how you got on with the challenge. Above all, though, CONGRATULATIONS! You just completed one full year of saving shoes: you’re true Shoeperheroes, and I’ll be sure to raise a toast to all of you tonight!

What exactly happens when you try to use it? It should only reject images which are really gigantic – unfortunately we can’t host those because they slow the site down so much and use up a lot of bandwidth, so they have to be re-sized before they can be uploaded!

I honestly don’t remember which pictures I posted here last time, but I guess I not these ones… hopefully!
What I have to say, and I said to Amber many times before, is that the challenge not only made me wear my shoes (some still in boxes in other countries, but alas, I made my best effort!), and outfits, but it was MOST OF ALL, the way I found to be myself again, to have reasons to get up. It was a long year grieving and the Challenge was one of my saviours. (I am OK now.)

As you know, I already finished in November, and the pairs I didn’t wear have found their way to Oxfam last week.

I loved reading about your shoe challenge last year, and am happy to have been able to do it this year! I made a shoe collage that I thought I would post. (Making the collage ended up being quite fun as well!)

Congratulations to everyone to participated! I didn’t, but in doing my own version I have worn many more pairs of shoes than I usually would. Which is excellent!
