Shoeper Shoe Challenge Week 47 Roundup

shoes on shelves

As I’ve mentioned a couple of times now, Shoeperman and I are currently working on some changes to the site which we’re hoping to launch soon, so as the open post style roundups seem to have been working quite well, and to give us more time to focus on that, I’m going to continue with this style of roundup for the time being.

We’re now up to Week 47 of the Challenge, and the start of the New Year has definitely brought a new sense of urgency to my own shoe-saving: of course, it doesn’t help that my shoe collection seems to be growing faster than my “saves” are, at the moment, and not all of my new additions are particularly winter appropriate!

How’s everyone else getting on with the Challenge? Have you bought any new pairs recently? And, more importantly, let’s see the shoes you’ve saved this week: just upload your image in the comments and feel free to tell us a bit more about the shoes!

(P.S. If you’re having difficulty uploading your images due to the file size, I highly recommend Piknik, which is a free image editing programme which will allow you to change the size of your images and add all kinds of fancy effects, into the bargain! It’s really easy to use, and will allow you to save your image in a size that’s suitable for web use.)

Number 98 – LK Bennett pumps c/o Sarenza

And number 99 – brogues c/o Deichmann Shoes

I just have 1 pair of shoes left to save, and 1 pair of boots, but the boots may yet go on the eBay pile.

  • Oh, so dumb! I’m used to press “post comment”, and I forgot to say # 109 was a new pair of shoes, to New Year’s Eve. Where I’m spending holidays now peoplel dress in white or pink, red, yellow on New Year’s eve.

    # 110: The skirt was so comfortable, I wore it again!

These are my new Louboutins, bought in the Boxing Day sales πŸ™‚

I’ve probably worn this dress a few times in my shoe challenge photos, but it tends to be my go-to dress when I don’t know what else to wear! The shoes are from Poetic Licence.

Shoe save #39, and thanks to a big shoe cull last week, I now only have 10 more pairs to go! The end is in sight!

  • It is still Friday here in USA. I like the open posts so I can post my Friday savings. In the regular round-up posts I never get a chance to save the Friday ones because of the time difference. By the time I get to photograph and write a post, the round up is already in the web. These are shoe #37 – Chinese Laundry over-the-knee suede boots

    • I’m really glad the round-ups are working for you! I was a bit worried about making the switch to this format, but as there are only a handful of us left in the challenge, I figured it should be OK. Great photo – I’m a huge fan of OTK boots πŸ™‚

  • I’m going to sit down and go thru my pictures and write up all my saves. I am officially down to 55 shoes after Goodwill donations, Ebay sales, and pulling the shoes I intend to sell.

Sadly I bought three pairs this week and spent all the money I made selling shoes on Ebay in November and December…Pampas 150 in black, Daffodile Panama Geometric, and (I tracked down a shoe I’ve been looking for in the CORRECT size for a year) Clou Noueds. Barneys in Las Vegas and the Louboutin concession in Brown Thomas are my best and worst friends LOL.

  • So… I know I am late, as it is Sunday and all, but I have been wearing shoes. πŸ™‚ Here is a pair from last week.

  • The end is close for me. I hope to have my last few worn in the next couple of weeks. Really, I would love to do it in one week… but getting the pics seems to be the problem sometimes. After doing Dressember, I have put the tripod up. Had bad lighting with this pic so tried to do something with it, and ended up with this…

    • Oh, tell me about it! I would also like to try and get through the remaining shoes within the next couple of weeks, but while I know I could wear the shoes, I’m just really struggling with the photos – the light here is just SO BAD at this time of year!

I’m really impressed with your dedication to it, though – you’re one of a small handful of people who’s unfailingly saved shoes almost every week πŸ™‚
