I can’t quite decide whether these shoes are too much, or just enough, so I’m putting them here in the hopes that you’ll all decide for me.

One things for sure: there’s definitely a lot going on here. There’s the flower on the toe for one thing, but if that isn’t doing enough to make you think of summer gardens and beautiful blooms, the thin green straps are also doing their bit to make you feel like the stem of that flower is gently snaking its way up your foot.

Then there’s the bright green mirrored surface on the inside of the heel. And the neon yellow on the outside of it.

Yup, it’s a lot to take in on one shoe, but now that you have, what do you think of it?

These are by Sergio Rossi, and they’re £489 at Far Fetch: click here to buy them.

sergio rossi blue plexglass sandals Sergio Rossi blue plexiglass sandalsEven although the thought of paying £500 for a pair of plexiglass sandals makes me break out in a cold sweat, and I can already imagine what kind of reaction these shoes will get from most of my readers, there’s something about them that’s really pleasing to the eye. I suspect it’s probably just the colour mix: those blues and greens make me think of the sea, especially when combined with the clear uppers, and they’re just very soothing to look at.

Would I wear them? Probably not, although I like them better than most clear plastic shoes I see.

Would I buy them? Definitely not. I did mention the £500 price tag, didn’t I?

If you would, however, they’re available at Colette, and you can click here to find them. Here’s one more photo for the road:

sergio rossi pink suede shoes 2011 Sergio Rossi ruched suede stiletto pumps

These are the second pair of pink suede shoes I’ve shown you today, and if this is what winter 2011 is going to look like in footwear, well, I’m starting to feel better about it already. Anyone else up for a hot pink winter 2011? No? Well, OK, these shoes have the kind of OTT style that isn’t for everyone, but I gave a little gasp when the image first loaded on my screen, and that’s a sure sign for me that the shoes in question are soon going to be appearing on Shoeperwoman.com.

These are part of Sergio Rossi’s Creatures of the Night collection, and that dramatic, flower effect (I’m calling it that because I’m not sure how else to describe it: it looks like a stylised flower to me, though) also appears on these blue suede boots:

Again, not for everyone, but definitely for Shoeperwoman, were it not for the fact that it would cost me over $1000 to buy both. Darn.

Are you ready to start thinking about winter clothes yet?

Nope, me neither. I won’t ever be ready to start thinking about winter clothes, though: I will be dragged unwillingly into winter, clinging onto my sundresses and sandals until the very last second, so my opinion possibly doesn’t count here.

Whether or not I’m ready to think about winter fashion, though, the fact is that winter fashion is ready for me to start thinking about it. The Fall collections are already starting to filter their way through to the retail sites (I know! In June!) and if there’s one thing that could possibly make the thought of colder temperatures a little bit more palatable for me, it would be these Sergio Rossi boots.

    Beautiful, aren’t they?

Obviously the colour is the thing that grabs all of your attention at first, but if you can bring yourself to consider the rest of the design, it’s worth looking at too. I like the almond toed platform, which I always find more elegant than a rounder toe, and the slouchy style makes these easy to dress down.

As you would expect, the price is… well, not so attractive. These are £740, so if I want to dress my legs in blue suede boots this winter, I’m going to hope that some less expensive brand steps up the plate with a version with a few less digits in the price.

If you want these ones, meanwhile, they’re available at Louisa Via Roma, and you can click here to buy them.

Sergio Rossi red suede peep toes with leopard print heels

It’s another meeting of two of my very favourite shoe-things: red suede and leopard print. They’re two very bold coluors/prints, and when you put them together, you end up with a shoe that needs no other accessorising to make it look amazing. That’s why I wish Sergio Rossi had just stopped at the red + leopard, rather than going on to add the metal heel. The shoe was special enough without it, and I actually think it would be even more special if the leopard print extended all the way down the heel, rather than occupying a relatively small space at its base. That said, I do have a bias against metal heels, which I’ve spoken about before, so that’s purely a personal taste thing, and if I was going to go for a metal heel, I could probably be persuaded by these ones.

This is yet another shoe to be filed under “interesting developments in the world of heels”. Oh, and also under, “Oh my God, who pays £1,261 for shoes, WHO?”

Not me, but then, I probably wouldn’t be buying these in any case: not because I don’t like them, but because I have a funny feeling that, once on, it would look like my heels had buckled under my tremendous weight, and that’s not a look I generally go for.

These are pretty, though, and I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t spend at least a couple of seconds cooing over the bow on the front, so here you go:

Consider them officially cooed-over. If you’d like to buy them, meanwhile, you can do that here.
