I don’t know about you, but I’m more than ready for springtime. Of course, I’m ALWAYS ready for springtime, so that’s a given: it’s my favourite season, when summer has yet to disappoint us, and the days start to get lighter and brighter. Our clothes and accessories tend to start getting lighter and brighter too, around about then, and floral prints start to prevail – which brings me to these Steve Madden pumps.
It’s actually been quite a while since I last featured Steve Madden here, and while these aren’t my favourite example of the brand’s work, I do really like the bold colours used on the floral-print upper. The curvy shape is also rather nice, and I think these would be a great pair of shoes to throw on with a pair of jeans, for instance effect.
If you prefer a slightly more toned-down floral, these BCBGeneration platforms have a subtle watercolour effect:
They’re not nearly as eye-catching, but they’ll be easier to style because of it, with the muted reds and pinks working well with a variety of other colours. Oh, and the price of these is also rather attractive, at just £69.
Then there’s these:
The Ivanka Trump line isn’t one I know much about, or have any personal experience of, but I do love the sunshine yellow colour of the print on these little peep toes. Sure, I’d like them even better if the heel was just a bit higher, but peep toes are probably my favourite style of shoe, and I wish I could wear them all year round, so these ones definitely get the thumbs up from me. Wouldn’t they look fabulous with a white dress/skirt or some other similarly summery dress?
