Marni suede platforms with bow and jewel detail

Going by the toe alone, I kind of loved these Marni pumps. Well, you have to admit, the toes may as well have “Oh, hai, Shoeperwoman!” printed on them, no? They also have that rather nice “Court of Marie Antoinette” look about them, which I’ve been liking recently.

But then I looked at them from the side:

Hmmm. Not so pretty now, are they? The platform is too clumsy, the ankle strap looks out of place… With no platform (or a smaller one, that fitted the sole better) and a closed back, they could’ve been wonderful. As they are, however, my (ntirely fictional) £520 is safe. If yours isn’t, these are available from Browns.
