More unusual shoes from Net-a-Porter & Topshop

After a few weeks in which most of the shoes I came across were nice, in the usual kind of way, this week I keep finding shoes which are definitely not “usual”: and whether they’re “nice” or not is totally up to you to decide!

Take these ones by Marco De Vincenzo, for instance:

Marco De Vincenzo ruffle pumps

These are definitely different, and they’re to be applauded for that: I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love my classic pumps just as much as the next woman (possibly more, in fact), but as a shoe blogger, there’s just not a whole lot to be said about them, whereas these, on the other hand… Er, now I actually come to write this, I’m not quite sure what I can say about them either, other than that:

a) That’s a LOT of ruffles.

b) A HUGE amount of ruffles.

and

c) I  have absolutely NO idea how I’d style them. None. Which is why I definitely won’t be spending £480 on them, that’s for sure.

If you’d like to try some more affordable unusual shoes, however, don’t worry: Topshop have you covered:

Topshop ‘Hairy Harry’ pink fur ankle boots

These are called ‘Hairy Harry’, and it’s a good name for them, I’m sure you’ll agree. Now, I’m not a fan of either fur boots OR neon, so it’ll come as no surprise that I’m not a fan of these, either: in fact, they remind me of the time during the 90s when the Spice Girls were at the height of their popularity, and fashion was very, very kitsch – and very, very pink. I probably wouldn’t have worn these even then, if the truth be told – I’ve never really been a risk-taker when it comes to fashion, and I’ve never really loved neon, either. If you DO love these, though, then, I’d love to hear how you’d wear them, because, again, I have absolutely no idea!

Anyone?
