I’ve shown you a lot of stripe shoes over the past few weeks, but these? THESE are stripe shoes. They’re by Saint Laurent, they’re called ‘Paloma’, and they’re the “let’s-go-dancing” version of all of the black and white stripe pumps we’ve seen here lately. The fact that these use a black and silver upper, rather than a black and white one, is enough on its own to make them that little bit dressier, but just in case you felt they needed a little extra something to make them stand out, the thick ankle strap is there to add another huge dose of style.

While I’m not generally a big fan of ankle straps, if they have to exist, my preference is definitely for extra-large ones like this. Yes, they’ll still draw the eye to the ankle, in exactly the same way a thinner strap will, and that’s the reason so many people dislike them. The width of this strap, however, will actually help hide “cankles” rather than displaying them, making them look smaller in comparison to that oversized buckle.

These have a 4.5″ heel and an upper constructed from kid suede and nappa leather, which should make it super-soft and comfortable.
