Monochrome shoes by Nine West, £100
I’ve spoken a lot recently about the trend for monochrome shoes, and I’m sure you’re all smart enough to have worked out that this is basically just a ploy to allow me to show you lots of shoes with black and white stripes. There’s more than one way to do monochrome, though, and I thought these Nine West ‘Autheena3’ peep toes were a nice take on the trend.
With their white vamp and black patent heel, these have a very minimal feel to them, which will fit right in with all of those stripes that are around right now – or work perfectly well on their own, if you don’t feel like buying into the convict look. I’ve always thought there was something very “classy” about black and white, and while it CAN be easy to get wrong, I think these get it very right, and will add a sophisticated edge to your outfit, whatever it may be.
Speaking of sophistication, these are the kind of shoes that are grown-up enough to make a nice office shoe (assuming open toes are allowed in your office: I know they’re considered unprofessional in some settings), but will easily transition to dress wear, too. They’re also just one of a few styles to have caught my eye at Nine West recently, so look out for some more from their spring/summer collection soon!
I like these. A good pair of black and white shoes goes a long way.
