Roger Vivier ‘Virgule’, £520

I talk a lot here about curvy heels, and how much I love them, so here’s a quick look at some of the curviest heels of all: the silver, mirrored ones on Roger Vivier’s ‘Virgule’ pumps!

These shoes are very typical of the Vivier brand, and that’s actually the main sticking point for me. I absolutely LOVE the silhouette of this shoe – that probably goes without saying – but, like many Vivier styles, they come with a squared-off toe, which is my least-favourite shape. In this case, the toe itself is a fairly small one, so it’s not TOO much of a big deal, but I can’t help but feel that, as nice as they are right now, they’d be absolutely AMAZING given a more pointed shape.

That aside, however, the side-view is so amazing that these shoes are really a work of art in themselves, so perhaps these could be justified on those grounds alone. OK, maybe not. What do you think of them?
