River Island light pink box-pleat midi skirt, £20
I’ve had my eye on this pale pink midi skirt from River Island for a while now, so when I noticed it had been reduced to just £20 this morning, I figured I should share the love!
I have a few too many skirts at the moment to justify this, even at the bargain price, but I still had to sit on hands to stop myself adding it to my basket, because it’s so pretty and feminine, and the kind of skirt I can imagine owning and wearing for years. I think the wide black waist band would lend itself to being worn with a black top (I favour crop tops with this style of skirt: as long as you go for one that isn’t TOO short, they have a wonderful, waist-emphasising effect, without exposing too much of your belly!). The colour, meanwhile, has been fashionable for a while now, but pastels tend to turn up every spring/summer, and the classic shape is never really going to be OUT of style, even when the midi skirt has had its moment.
This isn’t available in ALL sizes, but there’s still a good selection available: get it here.
