These are close to being the perfect evening pumps. In fact, there’s really nothing I would change about them (price tag excepted, as always), so I guess that means they really ARE the perfect evening pumps. Let’s take a look at the evidence, shall we?

♦  The gold, glittered leather upper. For me, this kind of upper is even better than the more commonly-seen glitter or sequin – it’s just as “special”, but a little more sophisticated, with none of the tackiness that can sometimes (although not ALL the time) be associated with glitter itself.

♦  The mirrored heel: just in case that upper wasn’t dressy enough on its own for ya…

♦  The short, pointed toe. I know not all of you are fully on board with the pointed toe trend (Can you still call it a “trend” when it’s been going on for the last couple of years?), but if you want to give it a try, a short point is far easier to wear, and will date far less quickly, than a longer one.

The bow. I don’t need to say anything about the bow, do I? It really speaks for itself.

Overall? Perfect. Or as close as it gets, anyway. And although I excepted the price tag from my “nothing to change” statement at the start of this post, even that isn’t TOO horrific. Sure, these are expensive, and I don’t think too many people would argue with that, but they’re in “I could possibly save up for them, or hope they go on sale” territory, as opposed to the “not in my wildest dreams” territory that some shoes fall into.
