J Crew Collection ‘Contessa’ snakeskin bow pumps, £237

These shoes make me feel happy and sad at the same time. They make me happy because I think it would be hard for a shoe-lover like myself to NOT feel happy at the sight of their candy-coloured perfection. But they also make me sad because, well, they’re £237, which is out of my budget right now. Why can’t the high street makes shoes in these kinds of almost-edible colour combinations, I wonder? Because if they would, I can pretty much guarantee  I would buy them. But anyway…

These aren’t just perfect in terms of the pastel colours (which remind me of Easter eggs, and are therefore perfect for spring), but also in terms of the shape, I know you’re all probably sick to death of hearing me talk about pointed toe pumps right now, but they’re the predominant shape in the shoe world at the moment, and, for me at least, it’s a welcome return to old-fashioned style. These are the kind of shoes that would look amazing with a 50s-inspired dress, but let’s face it: shoes like these would look amazing with ANYTHING, wouldn’t they?

Which is your favourite colour?
