Christian Louboutin ‘Argotik’ Black Patent Pumps, $775
Although I’ve been loving the ongoing trend for pointed toes, I know many of my readers can’t get on board with the look, and are just patiently waiting it out, in the hope that we’ll start to see a little more variety in toe shapes sometime soon.
Well, just for those people, here’s Christian Louboutin’s ‘Argotik’ – an absolute vision of a shoe, complete with an almond toe, to suit (almost) every taste! Almond toes are a perfect compromise between the pointed styles that are currently popular, and the rounded ones that never really go OUT of fashion. A little more elegant than a round toe, but not as sharp or angular as a pointed one, they’re flattering on the foot and generally comfortable to wear (unlike their toe-crushing pointed cousins!). All of which makes me wonder just why it is that we don’t see a whole lot more of them around?
Aside from the toe, this shoe is Christian Louboutin at his simple-but-stunning best. The curved sides are packed with sex appeal, and the apostrophe heel amps things up even more. These have a heel height of 4.75″, and a shiny black patent upper, which provides the perfect contrast to the red of sole. They’re $775, and are available to pre-order now from Neiman Marcus, although when I tied adding a pair to my basket (purely for research purposes, you understand…) I got a message saying they’re in low sock. I can’t say I’m surprised, can you?
P.S. If you’re tuning in today for my usual Friday Shoe Challenge Roundup post, just a quick reminder that as the Shoe Challenge finishes on Monday (!), I’ll be publishing the final roundup then, to give everyone a couple of extra days to get in those final shoe saves, so don’t forget to check back then!
Oh the MAGNIFICENCE!
