Dress of the Day | Fever London ‘Sahara’ Lace Crochet Tea Dress

Fever London ‘Sahara’ Lace Crochet Tea Dress, £79.99

If you’re a fan of retro-inspired style, presented in a contemporary kind of way, Fever London is a good brand to have on your radar. While not a “retro” brand, exactly, many of their styles do have a slightly vintage feel to them, although they’re always very wearable, so you won’t feel like you’re in fancy dress!

This ‘Sahara’ dress is a good example: it’s a knee-length style with a full skirt and fitted bodice, but it doesn’t look “costumey”, and is the kind of dress that would work well for variety of occasions. I love the bright blue colour and lace fabric, but if you’re looking for something a little more toned-down there’s also a very similar version available in a navy cotton. I think my favourite, however, would have to be the ‘Daphne’ dress in duck egg blue – absolutely gorgeous!

Sticking with the blue theme, though, I also like this dress:

The blue and white floral print is very fresh, and looks good with the red shoes shown here, although this is one of those dress up/dress down pieces, which would work just as well with sandals, and maybe a fitted denim jacket over the top for a chilly spring day.

Speaking of chilly days, Fever also do a really nice line in fitted, cropped cardigans, which are my favourite style to wear, as they work perfectly over dresses, or with skirts – I find that longer, looser styles tend to be easier to find, but can look rather frumpy, so if you’re looking for close-fitting cardis, check out the knitwear section, too!

P.S. As we’re coming up to the Easter weekend, I’ll be taking a few days off. I hope you all enjoy the long weekend (assuming you have some time off, too!), and I’ll be back on Tuesday with more shoes and dresses for you to enjoy! Happy Easter, everyone!
