Carvela has long been one of my favourite shoe brands, but I’m not going to lie: it’s been a while since I saw something there (and by “there”, I’m referring to the Kurt Geiger family as a whole) I’ve really LOVED. Oh, there have been plenty of shoes I’ve LIKED on the website in recent months, but these ‘Glitz’ t-bars are the first pair in a few months that I’ve liked enough to want to show you, and a lot of that is down to the bright blue upper. Its’ just a fabulous colour, and one I can never seem to walk past if I see it in a shoe store, so that’s one big point in these shoes’ favour. Another point comes from the t-bar strap: this is a style that seems to be going through something of a rise in popularity lately, and I think it works particularly well with the pointed toes on these, which gives the strap a more elegant feel than might have been the case with a more rounded toe.
As I said, I love this colour, and think it can work really well with both neutrals and (if you enjoy the colourblocked look) with other brights, but if you’d prefer something a little less in-your-face, these shoes are also available in black. They have a 4.5″ heel and a suede effect upper, and are currently available in sizes 36 – 41, at the Kurt Geiger website.
