Blue bow ankle boots by Patricia Blanchet

blue bow ankle boots

If you’re a regular Shoeperwoman reader, you’ll know I’m always complaining about the lack of interesting winter boots. I’ve never been able to understand why shoe designers are capable of making a seemingly endless parade of different shoe styles, but when it comes to boots, stick rigidly to black, brown and grey, in just a handful of different styles.

Well, here’s a boot that doesn’t fit that mold: these are by Patricia Blanchet, and they’re like a breath of fresh air, with their baby blue uppers and little silver bow. Now, I’m not sure quite how practical pale blue suede will be in the depths of winter (which I guess answers my question about why most winter boots come in such dull colours), but for a cold, dry day, or even a cooler day during the supposedly “warmer” months, these could be really cute, and are the kind of shape that will work with both jeans and dresses.

Now for the bad news: these are selling out fast, and not all sizes are available. If you want to check whether yours is one of them, click here to visit the Sarenza website, where they’re £148.90.

  • I have some ankle boots similar to this, darker blue though and although they’re gorgeous, I just don’t know what to wear with them. They just don’t look right with jeans…
