You can always rely on Azzedine Alaia to come up with something a little bit different, and these raffia and wedge shoes definitely fall into that category, although to me they look more like some kind of ancient artefact (from the, er, Rafia Age) than actually footwear. They’re also £ 1339.00, which is… a lot. Yes, a lot.
From this you’ll have gathered that I’m not going to be saving up my pennies to buy a pair of these. I think they’ll probably fall into the “love it or hate it” category (or maybe just the “hate it” category, who knows?). If you’re feeling the raffia love, though, you can buy these here.
Hate them. They look like something someone would make at Arts and Crafts while ‘decorating’ a perfectly good wedge shoe. And the price???
HELL NO. No shoe should cost that much, especially not one as ugly as that one.
well, those certainly are UNIQUE…
I would never wear them in a million years, but I’m sure someone can make them work, somewhere.
They look itchy.
That roughly translates into $123,456,789 Australian dollars which is $123,456,790 too much. Yuck.
Blech.
