Well. These Viktor & Rolf sandals may be many things, but I don’t think they could be accused of being “boring” – and these are actually one of the tamer designs from the latest collection.
They’re yet another example of the shoe world’s current obsession with ruffles, and in this case the ruffles have been taken a little too far for my taste. The giant corsage I could live with, but the ruffles on the heel look like old fashioned bloomers to me: as if the stiletto heel is trying to modestly cover itself up, the way Victorians apparently used to cover table legs for feat they would offend someone’s delicate sensibilities.
But that’s just me. If you love these so much you’re happy to spend $1,049 on them (gulp!) you can buy them here.
I risk my foot turning into a ram if I put these on.
I think they’re gorgeous. But then again slap a few ruffles on anything and I’ll probably pay for it.
Huh, and I see a seashell. So we’ve got ruffles, table legs, rams, and aquatic life…what a shoe! I love it, btw, but I don’t spend 1,000 dollars on anything less than a car.
I would LOVE them if they didn’t have that thing that looked like a snail on the side.
The snail thing on the side is really disturbing!
Good design,so beautiful shoes..love Viktor & Rolf style
