Pale pink pumps by Dolce & Gabbana, 695 EUR
Love shoes ? Love sewing? Well, you’re probably also going to love these pale pink pumps by Dolce & Gabbana, then. I mean, I only like one of those things (Clue: it’s not sewing…), and I love them, so if you’re into sewing, then you have the perfect excuse to justify that 695 euro price tag, don’t you?
I’d actually love these shoes even without the sewing-related embellishments on the toe, but then, you knew I was going to say that, didn’t you? I rarely see a pointed pump I DON’T like (although it’s not unheard of, either: a very long toe is a always an excellent way to kill any love I have for a shoe, for instance, and a neon upper or hideous pattern will do it, too…), and these are particularly pretty ones, in the perfect shade of pale pink, and with curved sides and a low vamp: all of the ingredients for the perfect pumps, basically. These also have a scattering of multicoloured spikes on the toes – they’re a little bit lost amongst the buttons and bobbins, but they’re there, they’re cute, and I love ’em.
As for the rest, well, there’s just enough detail to make the shoe a little more interesting without sending it veering straight into “novelty shoe” territory, or making them look like Irregular Choice at a much higher price point, so I think it works. My Theresa show these styled very simply, with jeans and a blazer: it works extremely well, but due to the pale pink colour of the upper, I don’t think you’d run out of options too quickly for these shoes, somehow. Little black dress? Little white dress? Any colour of ANYTHING? You get the picture, I’m sure. Now all you have to do is go get the shoes…
I think the decorations are corny. I do like the pink color though.
