Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Carrie’ crystal-embellished suede sandals
I’m currently on a shopping bag (Yes, it’s every bit as miserable as you’re probably imagining it is, although having already spent all of my money on Christmas gifts does help, it has to be said…), which makes fantasy shopping even more important for me right now.
With that said, these shoes were never going to be a serious danger to my bank account. Not only are they totally unrealistic for my lifestyle, the price means I couldn’t possibly be tempted by them, even if I wanted to. One woman’s fantasy shop, however, is another woman’s bargain of the week (I mean, I guess…), so if you are lucky enough to be able to afford these, just take a look at those amazing, crystal-embellished ankles! These are definitely one of the nicer pairs of Giuseppe Zanetti shoes I’ve seen lately: if I’m honest, the brand had slightly lost its lustre over recent months, and while they were still making some gorgeous shoes, don’t get me wrong, they were all starting to look a little… I guess ‘samey’ is the word I’m looking for here.
These shoes, however, have managed to break out of that mold, and make me sit up and take notice. Yes, the basic design is still very simple (and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, either), but that ankle embelishment delivers more than enough ‘wow’ factor to compensate for any perceived lack of flair in the design (not that I think there is any, I hasten to add, but I know not everyone shares my taste for the simpler styles out there), and makes them shoes fit for… actually, as I said above, I have no idea what these shoes are fit for, or where you’d wear them. I do know I’d love to give it a try, though…
