SHOES: Black Pelle Moda suede pumps, c/o Shopbop
SAVED: Sunday, January 15th, 2012
WITH: River Island pencil skirt; black turtleneck (a gift); New Look coat; American Apparel hair bow; eBay sunglasses
OK, before we get on to the shoes, I have to first of all stress that this hairdo was just for fun: I had a bit of time on my hands on Sunday afternoon, and I’ve always wanted to try out a gigantic beehive, so this was the result! (This is also why Shoeperman doesn’t leave me home alone too often…) As much as I love big hair, though, this was a bit much even for me, so I did take it down before I went out: but not before I’d snapped a few pictures!
These shoes are by Pelle Moda, and are yet another pair of simple black pumps. I LOVE them, though. I spent a long, long time trying to track down exactly the right shape of black pump, and these are it, so even although they’re dull, they’re dull in a “perfect black pump” kinda way, which makes up for it.
I figured such a ridiculous hairdo needed a very plain outfit to balance it out, so I went for my good ol’ black pencil skirt and turtleneck!
P.S. If you have a couple of spare seconds, and feel like making a Shoeperwoman very happy, your vote for me in the latest River Island Style Competition would be very, very much appreciated: all you have to do is click here and then “like” my photo!
When I read the title I was expecting an Amy Winehouse-esque beehive 😛
The puff is a good size for a bee-hive, but I would deflate it a little too if I were going out. Love the outfit, and I just liked the picture 🙂
Good luck Amber!!
Great hair! I especially love the big bow in the back.
You look totally gorgeous in these pictures!
Actually I liked your hair! I always wanted to do that, but I am not so talented! And I love the outfit and the shoes! Very classy and beautiful!
My hair is not long enough to do a beehive. That makes me sad.
I think it looks great! I got myself some ‘Bumpits’ a few months back and still haven’t braved trying them out… I am now inspired!
You look really good in this kind of hairdo, it suits you with this 60th style look I think.
