ALDO ‘Choewia’ polka dot high heel pumps, £65
My heart sank when the photo of these shoes loaded on the screen – not because I don’t like them, you understand, but simply because I really can’t justify buying … well, anything, really… right now, but I also can’t seem to see a pair of polka dot shoes without wanting to buy them. Not only is the print fun and striking, it’s also the perfect way to add interest to a monochrome outfit – imagine these shoes with an all-black look, for instance, and you’ll see what I mean!
Other than the print, there’s not a huge amount to say about these shoes – they’re a classic, pointed pump, which also come in floral print and gold – so here are some other pairs of shoes that caught my eye at ALDO:
Sticking with the polka dot theme, these ‘Paules’ sandals use just a touch of the print at the heel, which is contrasted with a slim, mint green strap across the toe : it’s like they’re actually TRYING to tempt me now…
Also tempting are these red pointed pumps:
I firmly believe you can never have too many pairs of red shoes (I can’t seem to ever have too many, anyway…), and these are a nice combination of suede and leather, with a d’orsay cut instep, to help set them apart from all of the OTHER red shoes in your closet. And by “your closet” I mean “MY closet”, obviously.
On the subject of red shoes, these sandals are also quite something:
The high-cut, almost boot-like shape isn’t something I go for personally in a shoe, but I do think they have tons of sex appeal, and could look amazing with the right outfit – they also come in black and cream, if bright red isn’t your thing!
That first pair… oh my. Lucky we don’t have that brand in Australia, is all I can say.
Do you have this shoe in a size 9 or 9.5? I want to purchase the black and white polka dot heels.
