Well, to think here was I thinking that winter footwear was always:
a) Duller than a dull day in Dullsville
b) Covered in glitter
These shoes are neither dull nor covered in glitter, so they’ve already proved me wrong twice over. That said, they’re not exactly my style either, as the star and rainbow design is a little too reminiscent of some of the pieces of art I used to bring home from primary school. Still, I’m sure there are lots of people out there who will absolutely love these, so for the benefit of those people, these are by Red or Dead, they’re £90, and if you can wait just a week or so longer, they will be available at Schuh at the end of November, just in time for the first round of Christmas parties!
Y’know, if I was a kindergarten or elementary school teacher (and if we paid them more than peanuts over here, but that’s a discussion for another day), I would totally buy these for work shoes. I mean this in a good way.
Well, I’d buy them for parent-teacher night, I guess, because those heels might be a bit much for chasing children around all day in.
I am exactly the sort of person these are aimed at. I sometimes question my taste, yet I know I will wear them far too frequently for a pair of shoes with stars on…
They’re a bit Mardi Gras for my liking, but still a nice change from the usual!
