I HAD to show you these. I just HAD to. I mean, they’re not my taste AT ALL. In fact, I’m just going to say it: I straight-up hate them. The print is too loud, and the heel is far, far too fussy for me to want to actually wear them, and that’s before we even get on to the subject of the price. Gulp.

Just because I don’t like them, however, doesn’t mean other people will feel the same: one woman’s Lex Shoether is another woman’s Shoe Kryptonite and all that. And I have to admit, it’s not often that you see a shoe with such a lot of detail, and such an intricate heel.

So, what DO you think of them, fellow shoepereroes? They’re by Nicholas Kirkwood for Erdem, and I’d love to hear your thoughts!

  • It looks like someone took half a craft supply store and hot glued it to the back of a pair of Charlotte Russe heels. Pass.

  • I do like the colours of the shoe, and I would definitely have loved the shoe with a plain stiletto heel. Now, I probably wouldn’t even wear them if they miraculously appeared in my closet. Not in the last place because I would drag along a lot of dirt with these…

  • The Prada florals from 2008 were amazing and stylish and I still drool over them. That was the right way to do intricate floral, this is the wrong way. I agree that it looks like a DIY craft project gone wrong.
