Next cap-toe wedge flats in tan and black, £40
One of the things Next is really good at is making flat shoes. I’ve had a couple of pairs of their ballet pumps over the years, and I’ve always found the quality to be really nice, which perhaps explains the slightly higher price point compared to some other high street brands.
These ones are a particularly nice take on the cap-toe pump trend we’ve been seeing so much of lately. They come in that classic black and tan colourway which I’ve been banging on about constantly, and I think the double bow and pointed toe helps give them the look of a much more expensive shoe. Finally, I just have to mention the low, concealed wedge: I always think this is a fantastic addition to a wedge shoe, because it allows the shoe to retain its basic shape, while making it a lot more comfortable to walk in. Contrary to popular belief, ballet flats can be very hard on the feet, as they offer no arch support, and little in the way of cushioning for the heel. These solve both of those issues, but still have the look of classic flats: perfect!

These are perfect. Another pair of shoes that makes me lament living where I live.
They are completely fabulous and I wish I could get them here.
