Friday 5 | What to buy this week

Happy Friday, everyone! Here’s your weekly look at five things I’ve been coveting lately!

black Needle & Thread ballet dress

Needle & Thread dress

Needle & Thread is one of those brands that just isn’t designed with people like me in mind. I mean, in an ideal world, I’d have no end of opportunities to waft around in sequins and tulle, but until that fantasy becomes a reality, I’ll just have to content myself with admiring this dress from afar.

River Island black satin double-breasted blazer

River Island black satin double-breasted blazer

I love a good blazer, and have pretty much lived in a white one from Zara all summer. They look great with both jeans and dresses, and this black satin number will help dress up anything you wear with it.

Pink Pashli satchel by Philip Lim

Phillip Lim Pashli Satchel in Pink

Phillip Lim’s ‘Pashli’ is my favourite handbag of the last few years, and the fact that it keeps being released in different colours doesn’t make it any less attractive to me! This season, the Pashli is available in baby pink and pale blue – both gorgeous, but I think this pink version would be the most useful.

photographic prom dress

Oasis photographic satin midi skirt

Yup, Oasis again! This satin midi dress looks absolutely amazing in this product shot, although it’s slightly less impressive on the model.  I do love the print, though – a winter-appropriate floral, with a bit of a twist to set it apart.

black knot front dress

ASOS knot front pencil dress

Finally, from the “simple-but-sophisticated” files, this little black ASOS dress is the kind of thing that will take you anywhere – and, at £42, it won’t cost the earth, either!
