Happy Friday, everyone! Here are five things I’ve been coveting this week!
Dorothy Perkins black and white hounstooth top
I’m kind of in two minds about this one. One the one hand, I love the houndstooth check print, and I also love how different it is from most of the rest of the high street right now. It has a vaguely retro feel to it (I’m imagining it with a black pencil skirt, bright red lipstick, and shiny patent heels…), and I also appreciate the long sleeves – an absolute must for me as the season starts to turn.
On the other hand, I have my doubts about how good this would actually look on. Peplum tops are always a little problematic for me (my waist never seems to sit where this kind of top wants it to!), so there’s a danger of it looking a bit matronly, as opposed to the sleek, Dita-esque look I’m imagining. One to ponder…
I have fewer reservations about this little Zara dress, however. It also comes in black, which would definitely be more versatile: as always, though, it’s the white version that appeals to me most!
Warehouse green suede biker jacket
Suede is a difficult one for me: I love the look of it, but it’s one of those fabric that never really seems particularly practical for our rainy climate. This dark green suede biker jacket, however, is absolutely gorgeous, and would be perfect for autumn – weather permitting, of course!
Warehouse faux leather midi skirt
I’ve ordered a few faux leather midi skits over the years, and have always ended up returning them, because it’s hard to get the right fit/look. This one, however, looks pretty much perfect to me – and at £45, it’s very reasonably priced, too.
Warehouse stripe jacquard prom skirt
Finally, I couldn’t possibly do a wish-list roundup without including some kind of full skirt, could I?!
Have a great weekend!
