Mango patent slingback flats, £34.99
I’m still loving the current trend for pointed flats, and I love it even more when the flats in question come in a pretty, mint green colour, and have a little flat bow on the toe. This kind of style is so much more elegant looking than rounded-toe ballet flats (in my opinion, at least), and these are the kind of shoes I’d love to own in lots of different colours. Which is handy, really, because in addition to this mint green, Mango are also selling these in nude, black, navy, and white. That’s your shoe wardrobe sorted then, isn’t it?
I see only one potential problem with these shoes, in fact, and that’s the slingback heel. Don’t get me wrong, I love the way it looks, but slingbacks aren’t always the most comfortable shoes to wear, so if you’d rather have a closed heel, and don’t mind missing out on the bow and the colour, Mango also have this version on their site right now:
As with the slingbacks, these also come in black, red, navy and nude (no mint, though, unfortunately), and if I could have one of each, the “flats” section of my closet really WOULD be sorted. Going back to the green shoes, however, here’s a quick outfit suggestion:
dress // bag // bracelet // ring // watch // eye shadow
These could work equally well with a casual outfit, but I really fell for the mint green dress, which I can’t believe is from Target. It comes in no less than 9 – nine! – different colours, so no matter which of the shoes above you decide to go for, you should easily be able to find a dress to match! Don’t you just love it when something you love is available in (almost) every colour you can think of?
Ohh pretty. I like the mint version so much (and I’m not usually drawn to pointed toe flats) but they’re really so elegant and yet delicate, I love the bow too.
I like the mint shoes too, but I wouldn’t get sling back flats ever.
