Jean-Michel Cazabat Ola Suede Pumps

asymmetric pumps

As most of you probably know by now, I’ve taken a solemn, shoeperhero vow to spend the rest of my life hunting down alternatives to Zara’s asymmetric pumps from last year, also known as The Ones That Got Away. Or one of the Ones That Got Away, anyway. And yes, the capital letters are necessary, because my search for these shoes is that important. Anyway.

These Jean-Michel Cazabat sandals aren’t totally the same as the Zara shoes: they’re open-toed, for one thing, and the dipped side is on only one side of the shoe rather than both. They do have a similar kind of shape because of it, though, and it’s a shape I don’t think I’ll ever get tired off. Until the exact moment I finally track down those damn shoes, at which point I’ll probably decide I no longer want them, anyway. Isn’t that always the way of it?

(Answer: not really, Shoeperwoman, you freak.)

These also come in a rather nice rose gold:

And they’re $300 at Shopbop: click here to buy them.
