Iron First ‘Lacey Days’ ankle strap platform shoes

I mentioned a few weeks ago that, despite their popularity, Iron Fist has never been one of my favourite shoe brands. Something about these ‘Lacey Days’ shoes, however, has drawn me in, and I’ve found myself looking at them every time I’m on the Spartoo website, so I’m taking it as a sign that I need to show you them.

At first glance, these appear to be a standard, rather girlie kind of style, with the high heel, bow embellishement, pink charm and lace upper. Take a closer look, however, and you start to notice some characteristic “Iron Fist” touches. That cute little pink charm, for example, is actually a skull:

And as you can see from this close-up, there are a few others strewn through the lace, with one on the toe, and a much larger one on Β the back of the heel.

I think it’s actually the striped ribbon that attracts me to these, though. I’ve always been a sucker for stripes, and while it does jar slightly with the rest of the design here, I still like the way the print has been used on the bow.

What do you think of these shoes?

  • I bought them kind of 2 months ago, included in my “number of shoes”, then took them out of the number because I sent them back to store… really nice, different, I did love them… but I figured out I wouldn’t have a good opportunity to wear them… anyway, as I said, I loved them and still do!

  • I got a pair of the NYC Survivor pumps and was very disappointed in the quality. I have 20 dollar pairs of shoes that have held up exceptionally better than their $50 pairs. I was in a serious state of woe because the NYC Survivor was the only pair of shoes I believe are appropriate to wear to work and they fell apart within a week, both the first and second replacement pair. (the first died in an hour. The soles came off the shoe. The replacement pair died in a week doing the same thing) I blogged about it. πŸ™

  • I like Iron Fist shoes, they seem so unique and different to shoes sold in places like new look or DP. And I love those shoes, I was lusting after something simalar from littlewoods a few months ago.
