Gucci crystal-embellished suede sandals, £540
Excuse the gigantic image, folks: these Gucci sandals are the kind of shoes which look like nothing particularly special from a distance – it’s only when you get up close that you can truly appreciate them.
Under normal circumstances, I probably wouldn’t appreciate these shoes much at all, due to the barely-there strappy upper. Since I got my Paul and Betty sandals, however, which have a similar single strap across the toe, I’ve been feeling much more open to the idea of strappy sandals, and to appreciate their delicate shape.
These are the type of shoes you’d wear when you didn’t want your footwear to overshadow your outfit, and while I personally wouldn’t pay this much for shoes that are designed to be almost invisible, I do think they’re a lovely example of this particular style.

I dunno… I find them a bit boring. Even with the bling.
