Gianvito Rossi mint and blue suede peep toes, £422.86
You know, I’ve spoken a lot here about how mint is one of my favourite shoe colours (and goodness knows, I’ve had more than enough opportunities to indulge that love over the past year), but I think this might be the year that sky blue overtakes it. I’ve been a little bit obsessed with this shade lately: for me, it’s the shade of spring and summer, and there’s something fresh and lovely about it that makes me guaranteed to at least give it a second look any time I come across it.
These particular shoes, however, warranted much more than just one look, and it’s not just the delectable colour choices that done it. No, there’s also that deep, curvy side, topped by the dramatic, high heel. This shape always gives a shoe a very vintage look, I think. It’s something ALDO do fairly often, and I’ve always found it to be a very elegant alternative to the standard peep toe. These Gianvito Rossi peep toes have elegance in abundance, and also have a very dainty feel, thanks to that sexy, low-cut side.
Sadly, there’s no point in me speculating over which colour I’d buy, because it’s just not going to happen, so I’ll ask you instead: mint or blue?
I actually don’t like the high back. It looks like the shoes are wearing a coat with the collar turned up. LOVING the colours though, and pretty much everything else about them.
The mint shoes are giving me sleepless nights. I think I MUST have them…
