Orange pumps with bow detail, £515
I don’t like orange. I’m not keen on ankle straps. I’m not a big fan of Viktor & Rolf. So why, then, do I like these shoes so much?
I think a lot of it comes down to that heel. Viktor & Rolf have used this particular shape in the past, and I think it really adds something to any shoe it’s attached to. With a more standard stiletto, these would still stand out (partly due to that bright orange upper), but they wouldn’t be nearly as distinctive.
The little offset bow is also a winner here, and I really like the buckle detail at the centre, which makes it that bit different, and also somehow adds a feel of luxury, which you’d totally expect from a £500 shoe. The ankle strap, meanwhile, looks to be detachable, which is another point in these shoes’ favour, and that just leaves us with the colour.
Now, as I said, I don’t like orange, and don’t own anything at all in this very bright shade of it. It just doesn’t work for me, which is why I still wouldn’t buy these (Even if the price was magically lowered) despite liking everything else about them. That’s purely a personal preference, however, and if you love orange, you may well love these too. You definitely won’t be able to miss them, that’s for sure!
wow, i really like the heel shape and the color! Lovely!
I’m not the world’s biggest fan of orange but I really like these. Especially since it seems you can remove the ankle strap.
They are very like Christian Louboutin Feticha in shape, aren’t they? Especially the heel.
Not such a fan of pointy toes and orange, but I loved these ones!
