Christian Louboutin ‘Hot Chick’ 130mm

Christian Louboutin Hot Chick Patent stilettos Christian Louboutin Hot Chick 130mm fetish shoes

I never thought I’d ever find myself saying this, but guys? I think these shoes might be a little too high. Just a little bit. Or, OK, maybe a lot: when even the Christian Louboutin website admits the shoes are “built more for posing than for walking,” you know you might have a bit of a problem!

These are the appropriately-named ‘Hot Chick’ 130mm patent stilettos – which, for those of you who prefer your measurements in good ol’ inches, means they’re just a touch under 6″ high. With no platform. Gulp. So high is that heel, and so steep the angle of the foot, that I have to agree with the assessment of Louboutin’s copywriter: these shoes definitely ain’t made for walking. In fact, they look more like fetish shoes to me than actual, wearable footwear, which is a shame, because the design itself is absolutely stunning. The scalloped trim around the curved sides is a truly beautiful sight, and the shiny black patent pump it’s attached to is Louboutin at his absolute best. Would you be able to wear them, though: that’s the question?

Well… probably not. Or not if you wanted to be able to do any walking, that is. These are over an inch higher than the 120mm Pigalle, for instance, and even it can be tricky to walk long distances in without a bit of practice. I somehow don’t think these are supposed to be worn for walking, though: they truly are “posing” or “boudoir” shoes – or, failing that, you could always put them out on display and call them a work of art. Because they really ARE, aren’t they?

If you do want to buy a pair, these are £595, and almost sold out at the official Christian Louboutin website: good luck!

  • Oh, my. The noise you hear is my toes screaming in agony at the thought of even trying to put these on. Gorgeous to look at, though.

  • I would wear these in a heartbeat if I could afford them right now… one of these days these will be mine! I am in love…. : )

Also, I have an incredible pair of Brian Atwood’s which consist of a 1 & 1/2 inch pump along with an almost 6 & 1/2 inch heel. They are actually pretty comfortable and I’ve worn them out a thousand times to the point of them now looking very distressed- but still beautiful…

My point in explaining this, is that if the 1 & 1/2 inch pump didn’t exist in my Brian Atwood’s then the heel would be almost 5 & 1/2 inches. True, it is not the same designer, but the measurements of inches, centimeters, and millimeters I’m sure are the same.

Therefore… to not have the 1 & 1/2 inch pump and to only to have the 5 & 1/2 inch heel is not that high.

    And I’ve had bunion surgery.

Oh, and after the surgery when I was 16, I took walking classes, which was actually pretty fun. : )
I would suggest trying that as it would help anyone walk in high heel shoes.
Even a younger person who had foot surgery lol! : )

    • I would buy them for my girl in a heartbeat, but they would end up unworn in the closet and that’s way too much money spent on an item just gathering dust.On the other hand: if they are sold out so fast, maybe they are a good investment after all?

  • I own these shoes and absolutely love them. They are my fav shoes ever! I cannot get enough of them. I wear 120mm on a daily basis, so I am quite the expert in walking in high heights. I have mastered walking in these shoes although most find it challenging. I have not yet had the opportunity to wear them out and quite reluctant to as I do not want to scratch the bottoms, nor get thm soled by CL as it will take the beauty away. I will wear these out when the perfect occasion comes up. Definitely a 20/10 for these. Mr Louboutin keeps me an addict and wanting more!!

I have posted a few videos of m,e walking in these on my instagram page if you would like to check it out @KristalLouboutin

  • I think there’s a conversion error: 120mm plus 1 inch would be 145,4mm that’s indeed close to 6 inches (152,4mm) but rather far away from 130mm. The Hot Chick’s are 1CM up from the 120mm So Kate, that’s much in heel height, but still far away from 6 inch heels. (1cm=10mm / 1 inch = 2.54cm)

  • these shoes are well made. the arch in the sole makes it look very steep, but ctually is a natural curve of the foot and makes the shoes easy to wear and walk in. you should all give it a try! i definitely love mine.
