Christian Louboutin Allegra 120 cutout suede sandals, £595
These shoes aren’t my usual style, but they say a change is as good as rest, and when the change in question comes with a curvy stiletto heel and an even curvier silhouette, I think I’d have to agree.
These shoes are ALL about the curves, aren’t they? There’s not a sharp edge on them, with everything from the heel (once again using that distinctive ‘apostrophe’ effect, which I love so much) to the peep toe leading the eye along a continuous, curvy line. This is essentially a slingback sandal, with the thick heel strap connecting to a lace-up section over the bridge of the foot. The result is a sexy sandal which is contemporary in design, but still very wearable. And if you think these look good in the photos, wait until you see how good they look on the foot!
These have a soft taupe upper, which will look good with a variety of different colours. I love taupe with white, but there aren’t many shades it WON’T work with, and it could be a nice alternative to the ubiquitous “nude”. The 5″ heel on these sandals is balanced out (ever so slightly) by a small platform, and if taupe isn’t for you, these also come in black leather!
See, I don’t think they look that good. There must be something wrong with me.
