Miss KG ‘Giselle’ gold glitter bow slingbacks, £85
Well, I did warn you you’d be seeing a lot of pairs of Miss KG shoes this month, didn’t I?
My latest pick from the brand’s current collection is these ‘Giselle’ slingabcks, which are another blast-from-the-past, in that they look more like a style from a couple of years ago than one from now. I think it’s the platform that does it: not so long ago, it was hard to find a pair of shoes WITHOUT a platform. These days, however, it can be difficult to find a pair with one, so if you’re a fan of super-high shoes, you might want to take a look at Miss KG, who seem to be attempting to revive the style!
As with the last pair of Miss KG shoes I featured, however, these may not have the pointed toes that are currently in fashion, but they don’t strike me as dated, either. In fact, the gold glitter upper and contrasting black bow make for the kind of party shoes that will never really go out of style, and will see you all the way through the party season (Yes, I went there: I know it’s only August, but Christmas seems to get earlier every year…) and beyond.

I only realised after I’d finished putting this outfit together that the dress is described as navy, rather than the black I’d assumed it to be. I’ve included it anyway, because I think the sophisticated shape is the perfect foil to the glitzy footwear, and if it’s as dark in real life as it looks in the image, it hopefully won’t clash too badly with the black trim on the shoes.
