Dolce & Gabbana Embellished patent-leather Mary Jane pumps, £1160
The last pair of Dolce & Gabbana shoes I showed you seemed to aimed at seamstresses, and were covered in buttons, bobbins and other pieces of sewing-related items. These ones, meanwhile, are aimed at beauty lovers, with a couple of lipstick tubes in the heels, one on the toe, and a collection of flowers and leaves, to… I’ve no idea why they’ve connected flowers with makeup, to be honest. Still, if you like makeup AND shoes, these could be your idea of perfection: me, I’m just wondering what the next theme will be. (And secretly hoping it’ll be aimed at shoe lovers. So you’ll have a shoe… decorated with tiny little shoes. No?)
Here are some other Dolce & Gabbana items that have caught my eye this morning:
floral dress, £2,750
I’m not normally a fan of patterned clothes with patterned shoes, but items from a particular collection are often designed to work with each other, and I think this dress could look good with the lipstick shoes.
tweed mini dress, £1,200
This tweed mini dress is such an amazing colour, and has a really classic look to it that I love: fabulous with flats and tights!
blue wool skirt, £1450
That wonderful emerald green also appears on the beautiful buttons on this A-line skirt. These two colours are ones I’ve never thought of wearing together, although I love both: must give that a go now I’ve seen how good it can look!
Actually, the more I look at it, the more convinced I become that I love everything about this collection – with the obvious exception of the price. I love how creative Dolce & Gabbana can be, though, while still making clothes that I can actually imagine wearing (Well, some of them, anyway): oh to be rich, and have a closet filled with these clothes!
