In the last post in my capsule wardrobe series, I mentioned that I’d be putting together an ULTIMATE capsule wardrobe consisting of my absolute closet essentials, and here it is!
As with my spring capsule wardrobe post, the usual caveats apply here: this post consists of MY closet essentials. I’ve made no attempt to create a “one size fits all” capsule, and I don’t believe such a thing exists, so this isn’t supposed to be about telling you which clothes YOU need: it’s about showing you the ones I think I need! I also haven’t worried too much about showing the exact number of items that make up my closet essentials: these items are (almost) all basics, so I don’t think there’s much point in wasting time mulling over whether I need five white t-shirts or whether four will do: the point is that I need white t-shirts, in whatever volume seems applicable at the time, so this selection is more about TYPES of clothing, as opposed to exact items. Oh, and as with my previous posts, this selection focuses on smart/casual occasions for the most part, so I’ve omitted things like workout clothes and the like, although they are most definitely essential!
With all of that said, here’s my ultimate closet essentials: because this post is (really, really) long, I’ve split it up into several parts, so you can either just take a look at the items below, or page through the links at the bottom of the page for more information about why I chose each item.
Navy and natural blazers, skinny jeans, pointy-toe flats in black, a billowy blouse and shift dresses.
Looking at the first page (haven’t read through the entire post yet) I can already say two things: 1) I love all the items shown 🙂 and 2) I’d also add a large carry-all bag (it’s essential for uni students to carry around everything they own so I definitely use big bags the most)
Love the roundup! I need more skirts in my life..
