It’s time for our weekly Christian Louboutin Fix, and this week I bring you these ‘V Neck 120 t-bars, in a beautiful, bright red patent leather.

Although it was the colour that initially attracted me to these shoes, it definitely wasn’t the only thing, and as you can see from the photos, they have a whole lot going for them. On paper, these would be simply another pair of t-bars: given that Christian Louboutin treatment, though, they because something truly special, with the double buckle strap and pointed toe really making them stand out. As much as I like t-bars, they can sometimes have a bit of a “schoolgirl” feel to me, possibly because I remember them so well from my own schooldays. (Er, not ones like these, obviously. I honestly can’t imagine the kind of school where shoes likes these would deemed appropriate wear. If there is one, I’m totally sending my completely-fictional daughter there, though…)

Not these ones, though. No, there’s absolutely nothing “schoolgirlish” about these shoes, especially given that they’re basically a Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle’ pumps, with a little added extra. They’re beautiful, glamorous… and $725. Get them at Net-a-Porter.

On another note…

Sorry to distract your attention from Christian Louboutin, but while I’m here I just wanted to take a moment to let you all know that over the holiday period Terry and I did a bit of thinking about our blogs, and how we’d like them to develop this year, and the first of a few changes we’ll be making over the course of the year is that, as of today, I’ll only be publishing one post (or possibly two) each Friday, rather than the usual 4+. (Edit: By that I mean that there will only be one Friday post, instead of multiple ones: the posting schedule will be the same every other day. Sorry for the confusion with that!) I know this might sound like a backward step, but it’s actually to allow me more time to work on the other aspects of the site (and our other sites) which tend to get neglected while I’m busily creating each day’s content, and so will hopefully be to the benefit of the site in the long run. I know a lot of people are too busy planning for their weekends to check in on a Friday anyway (I don’t blame them!) so hopefully it won’t be a big deal, but I just wanted to give you a heads-up about it, just in case anyone was curious about the change.

As for the type of post it’ll be, well, I’m not sure. I HAD hoped to do some kind of Shoe Challenge roundup each Friday, as I did in the second year of the shoe challenge , but I’m just not sure there’s enough interest to run another challenge right now. From the comments on last week’s post, I count 12 people who have said they’re definitely interested in taking part: this is compared to over 200 in the first couple of years of the challenge, and I know from experience that the vast majority of participants won’t post each week, which will probably leave us with a “roundup” consisting of just one or two photos. There also wasn’t really a clear conclusion as to which option people preferred: some were up for weekly roundups, while others preferred the monthly styling challenge. As I said, I’m honestly not sure there’s enough interest to justify either, so I think  I might put the idea on the back burner for now at least, and perhaps see if there’s more interest in it a little later in the year, maybe when more people are done with the existing challenge.

Anyway, thank you to everyone who took the time to comment on the post and give me your feedback, and watch this space: hopefully we’ll be able to get something organised before too long!
