As I’m sure my regular readers can testify, I rarely meet a Louboutin I don’t like, but while everyone else was cooing over Leighton Meester’s shoes at the Teen Choice Awards earlier this week, I was just a little put off by the size of those pom-poms, although, with that said, the more I look at them, the more I start to be won over by the sheer extravagance of them. What do you think of these shoes? Leighton wore them with a white mini-dress by Emilio Pucci: take a look under the jump to see her outfit:
I don’t mind the size of the carnation so much. The problem for me are the sheer sides. I really hate see-through shoes.
I’m not a fan of these, at all. (feels like sacrilege against the great Louboutin)
The size of the flowery pompom, the sheer sides, … I do like the back though, it should have been all glitter! That’s what the world needs: more glittery shoes!
I thought they were pretty, but up close I do NOT like the shoes! I was fairly certain that was a Pucci dress, and now I’m rather proud of myself 🙂
I’m with Daisy, there’s just too much going on with these shoes: Glittery heel, sheer patterned (!) sides, giant pompom, plateau sole… He has made so many beautiful shoes, and these are not among them.
I Think they were going with the over look with the dress. Doubt these would be wearable with many other colors.
They’re not something I’d be likely to wear, but I still love them.
I like these shoes, just not with that dress.
I like everything but the sheer sides. If they were satin white, they’d be wonderful!
I thought they were okay from the front but the side shot shows how hideous they really are! Love Leighton, love Louboutin even more but a no from me x
hmmmm…a tad over the top but i still love them
I don’t like the whole outfit: the dress is shapeless and makes her look like a big white rectangle. Although, the shoes have a great signature Louboutin shape and heel, the color and decor choices on them are hideous!
Heel covered in silver sparkles + lace sheer sides + oversized fluffy pom-pom in the front + red bottom… A little too much “GLAM”! 🙂
Louboutin is my shoe god, but sorry this one is a miss.
