Bourne ‘Matilda’, £145.99
For those of you who are bored with all of the pointed-toe pumps that around right now, here’s a pair of… slightly LESS pointy-toed pumps.
OK, so the toes on these shoes are still, technically, pointed, but the shape is a little different from all of those “ladylike” pumps we’ve been seeing lately – not that I don’t love them, mind you! Much of this difference comes from the small covered platform: thick soles are becoming much less common these days, but there are still some of them around, and this ones helps give the shoe a softer look, without the sharp points and angles of the non-platform versions.
The upper, meanwhile, is a fabulous combination of gold leather with a black floral design laced over the top for a dramatic evening look. These shoes have an 11cm heel, but the accompanying platform will take some of the pressure off your ankles, making them a little more comfortable: or so I would hope, anyway!
These are by Bourne, and are £145.99, with just a few pairs left, so if you like them, you know what you have to do!
I like them very much! Such a pretty pattern over the gold.
