Beaded now platforms, £55
Remember how, late last month, I was complaining about how uninspiring I was finding the current crop of high-street shoes?
Well, I think things are definitely on the up. Since writing that post, I’ve found more than one pair of shoes to make my heart beat a little faster, and now here’s another. These platform pumps are new in at Dorothy Perkins, and I don’t know which I like better – the navy patent, or the two-tone black and tan. They each have a little something special about them, and, of course, they each come complete with that fabulous, beaded bow, which I think deserves a closer look:
Fabulous.
I’d normally think a bow covered in this kind of embellishment marked the shoe out as evening-wear but I think these could easily translate to daytime too, with the toned-down colours of the uppers helping make them that bit more versatile.

I can’t explain why but these look frumpy to me, especially from the side. Even WITH the beaded bow.
