‘Kathryn’ leather pointed toe court shoes, £50
Anyone else getting a bit of a ‘Pigalle’ vibe from these shoes?
I know it’s tempting to say that about almost any pointed-toe court shoes, but something about the shape of these (and especially the image of the nude version at the top of the page) seems particularly reminiscent of my current favourite Louboutins.
Although it was the nude version that got my attention, however, it’s actually the baby blue that’s tempting me. Pastels may not be the first thing to spring to mind at this time of year, but this particular shade is one of my favourites, and it’s also a colour that’s under-represented in the shoe world, so I was really pleased to see it as one of the available options in this style.
I also like the fact that these are leather, rather than suede, which tends to be the norm when it comes to lighter, brighter colours. I can’t promise these will remain stain-free throughout the winter, but they’ll definitely have a better chance of wiping clean than a more delicate upper, and there’s always next Spring to consider!
That blue is calling to me.
I actually like wearing pastels, particularly pastel blues, in the winter. Not so much in the fall, but I’d still snatch them up and save them for a couple months.
