It’s been a while since I did a post solely dedicated to the wonder that is ASOS.com, so I figured it was time to redress that, by showing you what’s on my ASOS wishlist this week. Unfortunately the emphasis here is firmly on the word “wish”: I’m not going to be buying any of these clothes anytime soon, but if I could, here’s what I’d be spending my money on this month…
ASOS metallic leaf jacquard prom dress
The colours of this dress are perfect for autumn, so it’s just a shame the bodice puts it firmly into the eveningwear category. If this were a skirt, I’d have an even harder time resisting it, and would wear it with tan boots and a green or gold sweater: actually, come to think of it, I quite often wear sweaters over dresses to create exactly that effect, and I have a green sweater that would be perfect with this one, so let’s just hope it goes on sale at some point!
ASOS SALON Cami Strap Floral Organza Midi Prom Dress
This dress, meanwhile, is definitely more “summer” than “autumn”, but the colours and print are just so pretty I’m willing to overlook it: there’s always next year, after all, isn’t there?
ASOS Premium Fold Scuba Cape Midi Bodycon Dress
I suspect this dress looks far better on the model than it would on me (Although that’s ALWAYS the case, really…), but I really love the shape of it, which is just that little bit different.
ASOS Scuba Prom Skirt with Floral Border Print
This is actually a skirt and top, rather than the dress I thought it was at first glance, but I still love it, so I’d happily take both the skirt and top – and the shoes, for good measure. Oh, and if they could also throw in a quick tutorial on how to get a messy bun to look like it does on this model, that would also be great: any time I try to do this hairstyle, I only ever manage to achieve the “messy” part…
Fashion Union High Neck Knit Dress With Tie Up Waist
Finally, it IS September, so I figured I should probably show you at least one item of clothing that’s somewhat seasonally appropriate. I know this dress will be breaking the “no white after Labor Day” rule for some of you, but the fabric looks so warm and fluffy I think it would be perfect for the cooler months of the year, regardless of the white colour!
ASOS is coming out with some brilliant stuff lately. Certainly see why people love shopping there.
